Hi all, cost & info below from as low as £3 per person for the walk! Please join everyone for a 'ONCE A YEAR' fascinating 3.5 mile linear midweek walk, with lots of time to chat with new friends on the River Path from Hammersmith to Putney Bridge. We will also see some hidden gems that sit against the River Thames not often seen. The River Cafe Restaurant Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall and Jamie Oliver found their fame, Fulham Palace, a Grade I listed building, with medieval origins and was formerly the principal residence of the Bishop of London and country home of the bishops from the 11th century until 1973, the only bridge in the UK where there is a church directly on either side of a bridge, one church used in the film 'Omen' and the other church home of the Putney Debates 1647 where Oliver Cromwell tried to make King Charles I agree to new policies, also darker aspects of the area relating to John Christie '10 Rillington Place' and other aspects.

We will visit Fulham Palace for a half an hour stop, time to visit the medieval courtyard, medieval walled garden, the Great Hall, Cafe and Palace facilities.

The walk starts from outside McDonald's within Hammersmith Underground Station (District and Piccadilly Line) NOT Hammersmith and City Line

Please note: Some events, being a large attended meetup group it will be an organised walk only, but members are very welcome to organise their own get-togethers after the event.

You are required to be fit, healthy, appropriate footwear & clothing, responsible for meeting at the correct location and your own safety. Please bring water and some snacks.

The organiser is not responsible for any circumstances that may affect the group, such as personal accidents, rail delays, cancellations, engineering works, heavy traffic, tours affected, weather, walk paths or routes closed, postcodes for car parks or for when we arrive back at the station, or anything else not mentioned!
