Description

The Country Soul Sessions are proud to invite you to an eclectic evening of Rockabilly, Rock N? Roll, Pop & Country Soul ?? ? ? ?

The Danny McVey Trio

We are delighted that the wonderful Danny McVey Trio will be returning to the Country Soul for the September Session. 'Rolling Records' recording artist Mr Danny McVey will be bringing his authentic and unique rockabilly sound to the proceedings. This cool Rock N' Roll triumvirate is completed by Morgan Willis on lead guitar and Wayne ?El Wayno? Harrison on bass. Since their last Country Soul appearance it's fair too say that the word has got round about this exciting and original musical outfit.

Drew Morrison and the Darkwood

The house band are looking forward to treading the CSS boards once again. The Darkwood are Nick Steyn (drums), Ian Gant (guitar), George London (bass & singing) and songwriter Drew Morrison (guitar and singing). The band's central vision of a music touched by influences ranging from Alt Country, Pop & Rock N' Roll all tinged with 'golden chording' has remained focussed and realised itself into a unique sound. Expect to hear flashes of late 1960s Velvets, Jimmy Webb-esque wordplay and electrical guitar playing that has one foot in the 1950s and the other very much in the now.
