Generating Steam Heat is proud to present ex Sex Pistols, Rich Kids, Iggy Pop and current Blondie legend Glen Matlock live at New Lion Brewery.
Glen is responsible for 90% of the music of THE best known punk band of all time, the Sex Pistols, writing iconic songs such as Anarchy In The UK, Pretty Vacant and God Save The Queen and since his stint in the Pistols has played with a who?s who of artists including Iggy Pop, The Faces and currently the one and only Blondie!
Glen has also been performing solo for the past 30 plus years, recording for amongst others Creation Records, and after being booked to play a GSH show for the jubilee weekend and having to postpone after being invited to join Blondie and tour the US (like you do!), being the absolute gent that he is and promising to play a date for us, he?s kept the promise!
This show is one of only two UK gigs Glen is playing between his Blondie touring and recording commitments and will cover songs from right across his career from Pistols classics to solo gems.
Support is from Mike Only with DJ sets from GSH faves Julia Seizure and Ali Up.
With the success of the recent Danny Boyle Sex Pistols drama 'Pistol' and God Save The Queen being the years biggest selling vinyl single, there is sure to be great interest in this gig - we hope you enjoy the chance to see a UK music legend play live.
