What can I say about Martin Carthy?- that he is an English folk singer and guitarist who has remained one of the most influential figures in British traditional music, inspiring contemporaries such as Bob Dylan and Paul Simon,[1] and later artists such as Richard Thompson, since he emerged as a young musician in the early days of the folk revival in the UK during the 1960?s and 1970?s...
...That he a folk icon... one of the most talented men ever...possibly the nicest person you may ever meet.
He sings compelling traditional folk songs with an instantly recognisable guitar style.
If you like folk even only a little bit, you will love this concert.
Expect a cosy, friendly, seated venue on one level with air con, good ventilation and a sense of humour. You will be entered for the raffle and may win a CD or a "Who gives a Crap " loo roll. Form an orderly queue please.
