We welcome back to Southend the magnificent Thomas Truax.
Merging a fevered imagination and solid songwriting with a mad scientist's brain for weird gadgets, American singer Thomas Truax is a true one-off.
He is known for his menagerie of unique self-made instruments including a motorized drum machine made of bike wheels, spoons and other found items called 'Mother Superior' and a souped up Gramophone called 'The Hornicator.?
We're also very proud to welcome Rorquals featuring Elyza Mells from Whom By Fire.
Rorquals is the project of Essex based experimental musician and composer Robert Mells. Live he utilises amplified guitar, organ, electronics and field recordings to create compositions which merge drone, ambient, electronica and noise music. For this show he is joining forces for the first time with his wife, Elyza - known for her intensely powerful and passionate vocal performances with the wonderful Whom by Fire.
The gig will take place at the beautiful St Mark's Church in Southend.
It's bring your own booze. Please be respectful with litter and spillages and take away anything you bring with you.
A huge thanks to Mother Cherry for letting us use your church.
