So who is this worst person? Well, if you?ve ever been in love, or imagined you were, and then run for cover, it could well be you. That?s if you?re as self-critical as Julie, played with glorious best-actress-winning commitment (Cannes Film Festival) by newcomer Renate Reinsvie. Co-writer and director Joachim Trier is clearly a Nora Ephron fan as the whip-sharp dialogue confirms. And as the delights and anxieties of her relationships build then fizzle, we live through them with Julie every step of the way. Trier himself says we?re watching a ?coming of age film for grown-ups who haven?t grown up.? But that?s not to knock the insights that feel utterly authentic. (S)
