Thinking Thursdays is a new weekday initiative from Southampton City Council Cultural Services, exploring the rich history and heritage of the town. Each session is different, but it could be a talk, tour or something entirely different!
Matt Garner will be leading this walking tour exploring the world of the Anglo-Saxons. Discover Hamwic, find out about vicious Viking raids and learn about the incredible Saxon finds underneath the modern town.
This tour will begin at St Mary's Church (SO14 1AQ) but is a linear tour that will finish elsewhere in the town. It will last about 90 minutes. Please meet about 10 minutes before the tour is due to take place.
Regrettably the tour isn't suitable for those with mobility issues.
In the unlikely event of our having to cancel a session, we will offer a full refund. Unfortunately tickets are otherwise non-refundable. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your ticket to a friend if you cannot attend for any reason.
