Hannah doesn?t just dip her pen into the well of the South, she embodies it. With every song, she?s facing down demons of a life once lived from substance abuse to failed relationships and scars from the lashes of the Bible belt.
Hannah is daughter of Muscle Shoals legend, Alabama Hall Of Famer Walt Aldridge who mastered her Nashville recorded second album 'Gold Rush' and contributes to her most recent 'Live In Black And White' release.
Her debut, 'Razor Wire', recorded with The 400 Unit (Jason Isbell) drew attention of music critics and sent her touring across the world. 'Gold Rush' showed a more mature and introspective artist with more life experience, and music experience, under her belt.
Hannah has notched up frequent European tours, solo and with funky Swedish rockers Jetbone (a very memorable Greys gig, that one!)
Live, Hannah's performances of her songs that may well be introspective and have elements of American Gothic horror, are intensely captivating and cathartic, defiant and exuberant. 'Burning Down Birmingham''s gospel feel raises up any feelings of doom.
Revisiting some of those songs, she has stripped them down to the bare bones and brings partner from Jetbone, Gustav Sjödin to add his exceptionally lyrical guitar to the mix.
We're very lucky to have been able to fix this date as Hannah is back in the UK briefly to play Glasgow Americanafest after fab Maverick Festival slots in july, when we couldn't get a date sorted.
