Arushi Mudgal is one of the foremost young talents in the field of Odissi dance, known for her technical virtuosity and creative approach to tradition. Arushi is visiting the UK in November to perform in London and Norwich, and give this workshop in St Neots - a rare opportunity to learn from a world-renowned artist in this genre. She will be accompanied by her sister Sawani on vocals, and pakhawaj drummer Pradeepta Kumar Moharana.
This very informal event is mainly aimed at children who would like to try Indian classical dancing, but their parents are welcome to join in too. No previous experience necessary, the only requirement is to wear comfortable clothing and be ready to have some fun! Non-participating parents can watch from the sidelines - no need to buy a ticket.
The event is not open to adults unless accompanied by a child.
