Rejoice! London's Hobby Horse come to The Library for their first ever Oxford show.
Support from Moogieman and the Masochists - who release a new album this month - and Cheeks. What a night!

Hobby Horse is the solo project of young multi-instrumentalist Wilfred Cartwright ? his intricate polyrhythmic indie pop underscores lyrics grappling with religion, relationships, and reclusivity, as catchy choruses and glistening hooks show them towards the light. Performing live as a five-piece band, 2022 has seen Hobby Horse headline numerous venues across London, including Windmill Brixton and The Cavendish Arms; their debut single ?Socioparty? out on 23 September, now they come to Oxford for the very first time. It?s sure to be a blast.

Psychedelic geek new wave is here! It?s Oxford-based artist and ?brilliant sonic oddball? (The Oxford Times) Moogieman! Together with his backing band, The Masochists ? consisting of Vincent Lynch on bass, Claire LeMaster on additional synths, Stefano Maio on drum machines/percussion and Clare Heaviside on saxophone ? and smatterings of modular synths and samplers, he creates deadpan pop songs that crackle and fizz like the inventions of a mad scientist. Previous releases include the singles ?Ghost Driver? and ?My Connection?, the EP ?Doppelganger?, and the 2017 album ?Girls and Film? ? and they perform here hot from the release of their new album, ?Dial M For Moogieman?, released on 7 October this year digitally and on vinyl.
