David Hendy is a media historian with interests in the role of sound, images, and communication in human cultures across time. He joined the BBC in 1987 as a journalist and producer, and he continues to write and present regularly on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Radio 4. He has taught at the University of Westminster and the University of Sussex, and his latest book is The BBC: A People?s History.
