The Front Room, Portsmouth, is the finest spoken word and acoustic music night out in Hampshire - a truly vibey club bringing the best of that city's poets, musicians and experimentors to the world. Now for one night only they are commandeering Clerkenwell ARTslab at The Betsey Trotwood.

Sam Cox is Front Room's regular compere. Once upon a time she lived in London, saw the error of her ways and decamped to Southsea becoming Portsmouth Laureate for a while. Prince Brandon is descended from Portsmouth Royalty on account of his sartorial elegance, his age and the fact that no one in Portsmouth can be bothered to challenge his lineage. His spoken word is in the style of the beat poets, fast paced with topical ramblings in the hope that the walls of Jericho will soon come tumbling down.
