Playing authentic Cuban son - the life-affirming Afro-Cuban music that was born out of the streets of Cuba at the turn of the last century - Son Yambu are a band who are ensuring the iconic legacy of Cuban music has a future.
Having received rave reviews for their debut album, La Maravilla, they have built a reputation as one of the best Cuban bands in the world Fronted by lead vocalist, Dunia Correa, who sounds uncannily like a young Celia Cruz, you would have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by Son Yambu's irresistible cocktail of tropical rhythms and infectious melodies.
