Mississippi MacDonald is a 3x British Blues Award and 3x US Independent Blues Awards nominee, from London. He has been playing since he was 11 years old, and has travelled extensively on the US Blues Trail, meeting, amongst others, Pinetop Perkins, Willie Big Eyes Smith, Otis Clay and BB King.
His November '21 album, Do Right Say Right, was named in Mojo Magazine as one of the top 10 Blues Albums of 2022.
Living Blues Magazine (US), said he "represents the next generation of great guitarists who hail from the UK... wholly authentic, he's earned the right to claim the name". His latest release, Heavy State Loving Blues, was called "one hell of an album....laden with gems".. by Blues Matters Magazine, and Blues In Britain called him "one of the finest modern bluesmen in the UK". The Blues Came Calling named "Heavy State Loving Blues" as their top album of 2022.
