The very last Howden Live show before the surreal and distressing time that was covid was at Howden Minster with Gary Stewarts Graceland, the porch of the church is probably still sanitised from our home made sanitiser splashing around (Equal parts of aloe vera and rubbing alcohol if anyone's interested...)

This was the third time that the Graceland show had played in Howden Minster and people were literally dancing in the aisles, a measure of what uplifting, dynamic concerts they were. After far too long a time they're back, bringing with them the same exuberance, passion and musical skill that have so endeared this wonderful band to Howden audiences, this time at the Shire Hall.

  Formed in 2016 to play Kate Rusby?s Underneath the Stars Festival, Gary Stewart?s Graceland are a seven-piece ensemble that faithfully recreate Paul Simon?s 1986 classic album in all its? glory. With layers of guitars and percussion, bouncy accordion, vocal harmonies and many a bass solo, Gary and his band bring the South African rhythms and harmonies to life in concert halls and Festivals all around the U.K.
