Dan Raza is one of the mainstays on the singer-songwriter and folk roots scene. Of mixed Indian and British origin, he grew up in the Home Counties and moved to London in his late teens from where he has toured internationally for a number of years now. Dan?s eponymous debut album was produced by Charlie Hart (Ronnie Lane, Ian Dury, Eric Clapton, Mose Allison). The self-produced follow up, ?Two?, was released in 2017 and a catalogue of new songs should see a third album appear on the not too distant horizon.
Known for his impressive guitar playing in the best folk and roots traditions, haunting vocals and memorable and meaningful storytelling, Dan is, according to BBC Radio 2's Huey Morgan 'The real deal? whilst roots bible Maverick Magazine opined Dan to be 'one of the most interesting and entertaining songwriters we have on our shores right now'.
We are delighted that he has agreed to perform for the benefit of St Mary's, Polstead where we are promised an entertaining and enchanting evening for all to enjoy.
