Ffion Aynsley brings her explosive six-piece band River Wild to Jamboree for a night of vocal harmonies, driving Latin rhythms and songs inspired by the folk music of Wales and Spain.
Hailing from Ceredigion, Wales, Ffion is a powerfully honest songwriter whose lyrics are interwoven with a sense playfulness and daring. Her music twists and turns around rhythms and imagery, drawing upon elements of traditional folk, blues, jazz and psychedelic rock.
In support, Salt Moon are a dark and stormy five-piece. Electric guitar, bass, cello and synths are woven together by the vocal stylings of songwriter Maya McCourt and underpinned by deft percussion. Pulling sounds from the world of alt-rock, contemporary classical, jazz, blues and folk music, arresting arrangements and intricate rhythms will bewitch and inspire you. Think: This is the Kit meets Radiohead meets Tom Waits meets ?lafur Arnalds. In 7/8.
