A very special double headline concert from two brilliant English folk acts.
David Mitchell:
David Mitchell describes his guitar playing as ?Folk-Classical fingerstyle?, combining these genres to create a beautiful and unique take on some well known pieces as well as performing his own original compositions.
David can often be heard playing as one half of West Country folk duo Mitchell and Vincent, however he also deps in other bands (including for ceilidhs such as with Monkey See Monkey Do) and is now performing solo too.
As well as being a talented musician, David is also a skilled luthier, usually playing a lovely nylon-stringed Classical Guitar that he crafted himself. David also plays other stringed instruments as well as whistles and recorders.
Upon hearing David perform at Lyme Folk Weekend Ralph McTell said, ?I wish I could play the guitar like that?.

Katie Grace Harris with Andy Nice:
Katie Grace Harris is a multi-tasking, foot tapping, piano and accordion playing singer and story-weaver.
With a fast-growing reputation in the UK Folk world, her sound has been described as 'earthy, spine tingling English Folk'.
Katie?s first ?instrument? is her distinctive pure voice - she uses it to draw her audiences into the story she is telling with ?spine-tingling? results. Her engaging live performances usually feature her playing a range of instruments including Piano, Piano Accordion, Dulcimer and Shruti Box. She can often be seen toting a home-made chess board stomp box and a pair of sturdy boots for a full one-woman-band experience!
?
Katie traces her folk roots to singing along as a girl with her Dad as they drove around in the rusty family Triumph Toledo. 'We would sing songs from Joni Mitchell, The Spinners, Ralph McTell and James Taylor.' These early experiences clearly influenced her own musical sound. Her repertoire ranges from gentle new arrangements of traditional songs alongside raw and exposed original compositions. Her well-crafted live sets combine historic legends and stories with a smattering of social justice to temper the mix.
Accompanying Katie will be cellist Andy Nice. Andy Nice has played with everyone from Sade to Cradle of Filth and has also featured in several historical dramas as a cellist including BBC' s Pride and Prejudice.
