from Nashville, TN, touring as a duo, a special request from Eric Brace to play The Greys, happening in memory of Nashville musician, journalist, writer, critic, all round legend Peter Cooper and outstanding dates here quite some years back, which Eric recalls as 'truly some of my favorite memories of playing music and touring with him over the years'.
Eric Brace moved to Nashville from Washington D.C. where he was leading his acclaimed roots-rock band Last Train Home, had been named 'Artist of the Year' in 2003 by the Washington Area Music Association.
Once he and Peter Cooper teamed up, they became a mighty pairing, enhanced by the addition of Thomm Jutz.
Thomm Jutz has made his name in Nashville as an indispensable sideman to the likes of Nanci Griffith, Mary Gauthier, David Olney, Kim Richey... He was Songwriter of the Year at the 2021 IBMA bluegrass awards.
The tragic death of Peter Cooper in December, 2022, has led Eric and Thomm to reassess pretty much everything in their lives, but one thing has emerged with clarity: They must continue to make music together. Their fluid acoustic guitar interplay, their deft vocal harmonies will continue to be heard, all in service to the songs, songs about mill workers, folk heroes, astronauts, Civil War soldiers, songs about every day struggles, heartbreak, and triumph.

The Greys is a traditional pub right in the heart of the Hanover area with a long standing history (over 30 years) as a live music venue holding intimate gigs with acts from across the globe.
