Jimi Can is well known to El Rincón for performing esoteric rituals around Flamenco, rhythm and song, but his own repertoire of songs drawing from the multi-cultural heritages he's embraced is not what he normally performs at this renowned Bristol venue. We now start a monthly meet up where the so called Jimi Can will bring special friends of his/hers/theirs musical Cosmos to present to you delicious musical dishes, journeys and adventures.
For the first Sunday of May, keeping a spring theme, Jimi will bring a flower, not one in a flower pot though but a wild one, Ana Gómez, a key player (pun intended) of the Bristol scene. Pianist, teacher and keybordist, Ana has developed over the years an astounding simbiosis with Jimi's repertoire, providing some of Jimi's most naked, shocking material with flavoursome garments worthy of the kings of cumbia, salsa or rumba flamenca.
