Description

This joint concert presented by City of London Symphonic Winds and the Tromsø Wind Orchestra features an enjoyable programme of music from Norway, Britain and Ireland. The concert is part of Tromsø Wind Orchestra?s week-long tour to London in May 2023, as part of a busy schedule marking the group?s 100th anniversary. Conducted by Marius Slåttsveen, the group will play music from Grieg?s Peer Gynt Suite, classics from the Norwegian repertoire, and even some ABBA. City of London Symphonic Winds, conducted by Alan Duguid, will play a programme of music marking the countries of Britain and Ireland, including original music by Martin Elllerby, Guy Woolfenden, and Edward Gregson. The concert will end with a joint performance of the ?Valdres March? by Johannes Hanssen: ?one of the greatest marches in the world?
