Washing Machine proudly presents

AMETHYSTS
KASPAR LARSEN
LEON O'LEARY
LOOME
INDIGO

On Saturday, 7th October, we are thrilled to celebrate 12 years of Washing Machine by welcoming back Suffolk's incredible dream-pop demigods AMETHYSTS for a long-overdue WM headline show.

"The duo display their ability to sculpt sounds with a restraint that allows the beauty of their melodies to shine" - Earmilk

"Dream-pop at its absolute best" - BBC Introducing

Working with acclaimed producer Shuta Shinoda (Hot Chip, Ghostpoet, Daughter) and labels including RAMP Recordings (James Blake, Jamie XX) and Maximal Vinyl (War Paint, Bat for Lashes), dream pop duo Amethysts use airy synthesizers, biting guitars and deep electronic bass to build emotional soundscapes underneath Clarice and Simon's delicate vocal harmonies. Renowned for their uniquely crafted brand of atmospheric indie-electronica-alt-pop, the pair have built a glittering catalogue of incredible tunes - as evidenced by last year's critically-acclaimed, self-titled debut LP.

"Rich yet delicate sonic landscape using walls of fluid, neon synths, ringing electric guitar and vintage drum machine beats" - Popmatters

"Beautifully dappled electronics with a pop twist" - Clash

"Genius" - Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 6 Music

Support comes from unfeasibly talented songwriting wunderkid KASPAR LARSEN (aka Danny Kingsley from History & Lore), and a magnificent, sumptuous one-two pop-punch of LEON O'LEARY and LOOME, plus the WM solo debut of SubStation's INDIGO. This line-up is ridiculous, even if we say so ourselves. Be there!!!

All ages are welcome. Under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or carer.

There is a fully-licensed bar on the premises. No ID, no alcohol.

THE HUNTER CLUB IS A SAFE SPACE
We take audience safety very seriously at The Hunter Club, and strongly believe that gigs can and should be safe spaces, free from harassment, intimidation, prejudice, bullying and violence. We expect that all artists, venue staff and attendees will respect our values, and we have a zero tolerance policy towards those who do not. Anyone who endangers the enjoyment and safety of others at a Washing Machine night will be ejected and barred. It is unfortunate that in 2023 we still have to say this stuff, but we hope that by doing so we can help to create an atmosphere where everyone feels safe and able to enjoy themselves.
