We are proud to present one of the UK?s foremost emerging Jazz musicians - Abbie Finn. She will be performing with her trio which features Harry Keeble on tenor saxophone, Paul Grainger on double bass and of course Abbie on drums.
The trio have featured at Jazz in the Round at The Cockpit in London, Band on the Wall, Manchester, Newcastle Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Hexham Jazz Festival, Durham Jazz Festival, Middlesbrough Jazz Weekender. In 2018 Abbie was given the opportunity to play percussion with the WOW (Women of the World) Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall in London as part of the festival of women.
In November 2020 the trio released their debut album ?Northern Perspective?, comprising a mix of original music and arrangements of some of the band?s favourite songs. In 2022 the band released ?Live at the 2021 Newcastle Jazz Festival? which features a selection of tunes from the performance, including songs by Charles Mingus, Don Grolnick and Victor Feldman. Their 2nd studio album, ?On Pink Lane? is made up of nine original tunes composed by Abbie Finn and is named after the iconic street in Newcastle that was once home to the Jazz Cafe where the band first played together.
