Sekinue (aka Esme Anderson) is a multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter who found connection with the harp just four years ago As well as playing with local folktronica band Greenness, they have been steadily building up a following on the London and Brighton scene since 2019. They have performed in venues such as Brighton's Old Market and the Prince Albert supporting the likes of Moon Panda and My Octopus Mind as well as the citie's notorious Pride and Trans Pride events.

Captivating audiences by combining their immersive harp dream-scapes with raw, dark lyricism; drawing from the intensity of Elliott Smith and the melodic charm of Belle and Sebastian. Sekinue creates songs that invite us to sit with our vulnerabilities, forming experiences that are as haunting as they are beautiful

Their debut single 'Knives' explores themes of relationships and mental health, bringing to light that we might othewise have wanted to keep hidden in the dark. It's first iteration was recorded in a friends bathroom, and with the help of Nighthouse's Nick Williams and Ellie Ford has been fully realised as a studio recorded single.

Sekinue's live performances present an extraordinary sense of musical intimacy, inviting their listeners into a state of bliss over the harp sound. They turn even the simplest of sequences into a whirl of emotion, inciting a rare form of musical honesty not to be missed.
