Hi all, cost, & info below (Going West Part 2!) ONLY ONCE EVERY 2 YEARS MIDWEEK WALK, Within the City of London there is a Lost London that time has forgotten. Join us for a fascinating 3.5 mile walk in the heart of London exploring the incredible highlights lost in time, amazing hidden parts of Roman London, Medieval London, the smallest pocket park so small you cannot sit in the park, the site of the first-ever bomb dropped on London, where Oliver Cromwell married, John Milton and Dick Whittington are buried and where Daniel Defoe was baptised.

The story of a woman dead in a coffin but was actually alive, a London park connected to Hollywood stars Julia Roberts, Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Clive Owen, an area bombed in World War 2 that uncovered unknown hidden extensive Roman remains, an open-air medieval church and garden from 1225, London's first drinking fountain, the site of the last woman to be hanged in public in front of 20,000 people and nearby pub that had a 'hanging breakfast' with the view of the gruesome spectacle, The Old Bailey the legal main courts of London, a giant sundial near St.Paul's Cathedral, the Cockney Bells of Bow where Pearly Kings and Queens came from, a fine example of a medieval street and some mouth opening hidden gems!

Walk starts and ends at Cannon Street. There is a drink afterward if interested, then go to a nearby wonderful, Indian restaurant that opens at 5.30pm, set in an underground medieval vault that belongs to an old church where the famous Dick Whittington is buried. Members attend the unique walks from our different meetup groups.

IF LATE, SORRY WE ARE UNABLE TO RECEIVE CALLS OR ANSWER EMAILS AS WELCOMING MEMBERS, LEADING THE WALK, AND CONCENTRATING ON THE SAFETY OF THE GROUP. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CATCH THE GROUP UP, PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

Part Tour - Medium pace walk from 'Visit England' Award-Winning Guide and our group featured in the National Press! Please Note: Some events, being a large attended meetup group will be an organised walk only, but members are very welcome to organise their own get-togethers after the event.

You are required to be fit and healthy with appropriate footwear & clothing, responsible for meeting at the correct location, own safety and to not lose the group by viewing the organiser/making the organiser aware as much as possible, or follow/not lose sight of the person(s) from the same walk in front. We advise carrying water and some snacks.

The organiser is also not responsible for any circumstances that may affect the group or personally such as personal accidents, rail information, engineering works, cancellations, rail strikes or delays, heavy traffic, tours affected, weather, walk paths or routes closed, postcodes for car parks or for when we arrive back at the station, or anything else not mentioned!
