Description

To celebrate the release of her new EP 'Eco-Fever', a disco/dance inspired record about the climate crisis, London-based artist Mari Dangerfield brings her unique live show to Bristol's Cafe Kino.
Mari Dangerfield is an artist, producer, writer and musician from London of both British and Portuguese heritage. With a knack for fragile songs bursting with originality, her sound is consequently hard to define. Using songwriting as a tool for attempting to make sense of life, her productions are characterised by rich vocal harmonies, catchy hooks and cinematic arrangements. To date, she has received support from BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio Ulster, RTE, Fresh On The Net and The Frank Skinner Show. In 2022 she signed to London-based indie label Dimple Discs who release her debut album 'Love And Other Machines.' Her new EP ?Eco-Fever? drops on 23rd June 2023, with live dates around London and Bristol.

Flux:
Flux is Jamie Jamal (Vocals, lyrics) and Richard Mordecai (Keys, Producer) Formed during lockdown in 2020. They had previously written 5 tracks together for Jamie?s electronic duo ?This Human Condition? tracks include Psychotropic, Telepathic Heights, Brother Blue, Normal and God Kills Another Kitten. During lockdown in September of 2020 they released a Hi-NRG track called ?Handbag Punk? which is bursting with fabularity and familiarity, that followed by ?Divulge? a dark and edgy torch song. In 2022 they released ?Just Because You Can (Doesn?t Mean You Should) which featured a Welsh choir. They even made some videos remotely by themselves for these releases. Flux is currently working on an album, and has been doing some live dates, recently including The Louisiana and Crofters Rights in Bristol and The Full Moon Club in Cardiff.

Haukeli:
Haukeli, the Art-pop singer-songwriter with the contralto voice that swings octaves deftly from top-range vulnerability to ribcage-deep in a heartbeat has created her own brand of atelier pop for your delectation. Defined by her use of retro synths and eclectic, ethereal style, her EP 'Voyeur Vision' has had all six tracks featured on BBC Introducing since its release. She is at work on her debut solo album entitled 'Show Me The Cunny' - a brazen exploration of what it means to be 'woman' in the afterglow of escaping abuse. She is inspired by everything from video games to Scandinavian pop music.
