Green Man Gallery Resident Artist Geoff Chilton leads this half-day workshop on painting with pastels. If you have ever wanted to learn to paint with this beautiful, expressive medium, this is the class for you.
Suitable for beginning pastel artists or complete novices, Geoff talks you through materials needed, basic techniques and approaches to painting, including how to build up a sketch, drawing and underpainting, layering and using fixative.
Places limited to a maximum of 10
A basic set of pastels is needed for this workshop. A small set of twelve or so is quite adequate. Paper will be provided. If you prefer to work standing up, please bring your own easel).
12pm to 3.30pm in the Workshop Room at The Green Man Gallery (NB Access is via one flight of stairs - no lift.)
