The unique and beautiful Niamos, built in 1901, later became the first Afro-Caribbean-led theatre in Europe and Nina Simone famously sang here in 1991 - today, the venue is a community led art-space and cultural centre. On Sunday 16 July 2023 it will play host to a gathering of bands, and you are very, very welcome. We want you to enjoy not only the music - and we have a seriously exciting line-up, with Vee VV, Feather Trade (who use the theatre as a rehearsal space), The Bricks, and special guests Polly, who travel down from Scotland - but the theatre itself, its beauty, history, and positive, community-driven vibe. This is to be a gathering for people who love people, music, culture, preserving and celebrating the past, while looking to the future. We hope to see you there!
