Bob Fox
Genre : Music - Folk/blues/world
We are delighted to welcome back singer/songwriter Bob Fox to the club. With a career that began 40 years ago in the folk clubs of the North East, Bob?s live performances have been described by Ralph McTell as ?astonishing guitar technique coupled with one of England?s finest voices.? In the BBC Folk Awards he?s a former winner of the Best Original Song and has been twice nominated as the Folk Singer of the Year.
Although his default position is that of a solo singer, Bob has enjoyed significant partnerships over the years with three of leading names on the folk scene - Tom McConville, Stu Luckley and Jez Low. He also achieved national recognition by making the role of The Songman his own in the National Theatre?s stage adaptation of Micheal Morpurgo?s "War Horse".
Bob fills club rooms wherever he goes so early purchase of tickets is recomended.
