Hi all, cost & info below, please join everyone for a beautiful 6 mile linear, scenic walk along the River Thames with some brief local info along the way. See and visit some amazing beautiful sites and history just off the beaten track whilst walking along the River Thames. Through Surbiton, Kingston and ending up in Teddington.

Did you know Kings were crowned in Kingston Upon Thames not London!  We will see the actual ancient stone that 7 saxon kings were crowned upon and became Kings. See one of the oldest bridges in the whole of the UK dating back over a 1,000 years, a market place that dates back centuries, Teddington with it?s important connection to Operation Dynamo ? The Little Ships of Dunkirk, Monthy Python, the site of Teddington Film Studios with its connection to The Beatles, ?The Office?, Morecombe and Wise, Tommy Cooper and so much more. Surbiton with it?s connection to supplying water all the way to London in Victorian Times!

Option of drinks at the end at a wonderful setting, riverside pub location with fine foods and beverages!

WHERE TO MEET Please meet out the front of Surbiton Station (Victoria Road where all the shops are. Please Note: NOT the rear of the station.

Walk leaves Surbiton Station at 12.45pm.

Surbiton (National Rail and within Zone 6 for travelcards) is 25 mins train from London Waterloo, 23 mins from Vauxhall (Victoria Line) and 20 mins from Clapham Junction. Walk ends at Teddington Station (National Rail) with the same connections back to London.

RSVP and arrive on the day of the walk, £9 cash/card payment. Feel free to turn up on the day whether the 'Early Bird' option below is sold out or not. No need for early bird ticket in advance; it's as simple as that!

(or) CHEAPER 'EARLY BIRD' £6 IN ADVANCE

There is an additional option to pay cheaper in advance for £6. The 'early bird' payment works exactly like some music festivals for example, where you have the 'cheaper' early bird option before the event, instead of the on-the-day payment option above. The limited 'early bird' tickets are taken off sale about a week before the date listed for the meetup event, or the tickets may even sell out sooner!

PLEASE ensure ARRIVAL at least 15 minutes BEFORE the start of the walk, sorry no latecomers are accepted for whatever reason.

Members attend the unique walks from our different meetup groups.

IF LATE, SORRY WE ARE UNABLE TO RECEIVE CALLS OR ANSWER EMAILS AS WELCOMING MEMBERS, LEADING THE WALK, AND CONCENTRATING ON THE SAFETY OF THE GROUP. PLEASE DO NOT BE LATE, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CATCH THE GROUP UP, PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT.

Part Tour - Medium pace walk from 'Visit England' Award-Winning Guide and our group featured in the National Press! Please Note: Some events, being a large attended meetup group will be an organised walk only, but members are very welcome to organise their own get-togethers after the event.

You are required to be fit and healthy with appropriate footwear & clothing, responsible for meeting at the correct location, own safety and to not lose the group by viewing the organiser/making the organiser aware as much as possible, or follow/not lose sight of the person(s) from the same walk in front. We advise carrying water and some snacks.

The organiser is also not responsible for any circumstances that may affect the group or personally such as personal accidents, rail information, engineering works, cancellations, rail strikes or delays, heavy traffic, tours affected, weather, walk paths or routes closed, postcodes for car parks or for when we arrive back at the station, or anything else not mentioned!
