Soroptimists International Buxton and District invite you to an evening with auctioneer Charles Hanson when he will discuss local family treasures and present 'Basic - Better - Best' from their collection of valuable items.
At the end of the evening there will be an auction of opportunities to visit and observe a TV antiques programme in the making.
Schedule
7pm: Welcome and viewing of items to be discussed.
7.30pm: Charles Hanson discusses the national interest in antiques and the individual items brought for the event.
8.30pm: Break
... followed by 'Basic - Better - Best' items brought by members of Soroptimists International and the grand auction of tickets to a TV antiques show.
Event ends at 10pm.
NB This event takes place on the ground floor of The Green Man Gallery which is accessible by wheelchair. Please email us on hello@thegreenmangallery.com to reserve a wheelchair space or to discuss any other access needs.
Please note that the toilets are accessible by wheelchair but there is currently no adapted toilet cubicle.
Charles Hanson, owner of Hansons Auctioneers, is a familiar face on TV antiques shows. He thrives on the drama, passion and excitement of an auction and on making great finds. He often uses his specialised talents to aid major charity auctions across the UK. A passionate supporter of charities, Charles brings the art of auctioneering to fundraising events such as ours to aid good causes. Over the years he has helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for countless charities.
Tickets £15 each to include an initial drink and cake. (Additional drinks also available.)
