Description

With influences spanning Americana, English folk & Indian music, Mishra weave an enchanting web of sound, with gorgeous vocals and superb musicianship on instruments including clawhammer banjo, acoustic guitar, Indian tabla and low whistle. Founder members Kate Griffin and Ford Collier have received widespread acclaim for Mishra and other projects including The Magpies and The Drystones, and both were BBC Young Folk Awards nominees back in 2018. Mishra have released two warmly reviewed albums to date, and won Cambridge Folk Festival?s Christian Raphael Prize in 2019, as well as the Danny Kyle Open Stage Award at Celtic Connections in 2022.
