The last Unglamorous Music event at Firebug in March sold out so book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment!
Over the last year or so, Leicester has emerged as the all-women band capital of the world and today you can see sixteen bands perform their original songs in a range of music styles, but always with great garage band energy and fun. Just ask anyone who has been to one of these events before. All over-18s welcome. There'll be food, hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, T-shirts on sale as well as copies of our compilation album on vinyl and CD. Check out the individual bands on social media - from the punky power of The Wonky Portraits, the art-noise of Glitch Magnet, happy ska sounds of Neon Rising, sweary politics of Velvet Crisis, tense harmonies and real-life stories from Virginia's Wolves to newer bands like Acute Echo and Miss Kicks - and much much more - there's a lot to love here.
