El Rincón debut for this duo who have played jazz individually for several years and came to play together during the 2020 lockdown. Their repertoire ranges from moving old-school jazz standards to today?s modern jazz. Clara Maria?s exceptional, animated vocals (influenced by Ella Fitzgerald and Cécile McLorin Salvant) are joined with Martin Mexme?s Bill Evans-inspired beautiful piano accompaniment. Engaging, touching, classy, and very much recommended.
