Back to their roots, Laura Sinnerton (viola) and Richard Allen (harpist) will be joined by flautist Fiona Slominska to kick off the annual Belfast Music Society Northern Lights Mini-Fest.
Concert harpist Richard Allen, was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland where he also studied piano and traditional Irish harp. He performs across Europe as a soloist having won a number of prizes including the North London Camac Competition and the F?lix Godefroid International Harp Competition in Belgium.
Fiona Slominska performs regularly with many of the UK's leading orchestras including The Orchestra of Opera North and BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Additionally, Fiona has been Guest Principal Flute with Camerata Salzburg, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, European Union Chamber Orchestra, The Hall?, Northern Ballet, RTE Concert Orchestra and BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
Irish violist Laura Sinnerton has been a member of the viola section of the BBC National Orchestra of Wales since 2009. Laura has also performed at 6Music Festival with Father John Misty, and for a number of years wrote a well received diary about orchestral life for BBC Wales.
