DAVID SINCLAIR FOUR (DS4)
David Sinclair has blazed a unique trail through the world of music. From playing in punk bands in the 1970s to his current gig as singer, songwriter and leader of the David Sinclair Four (DS4), he brings an acclaimed blend of modern blues, high-energy rock and storytelling skill to the stages of London and beyond.
The DS4 features lead guitarist Geoff Peel who has played in numerous London, blues-circuit bands (the Diplomatics, Gentleman Tim & the Contenders, Julien D?Imperio, etc) along with Derek White on bass (ex-Larry Miller, Storm Warning) and Will Cohen on drums.
The DS4?s latest album Apropos Blues, featuring harmonica legend Laurie Garman (ex-Yardbirds, Lightnin? Slim), was selected as one of the "Top Albums of 2022" in the end-of-year issue of Blues Matters magazine and was described as "A superb album" by music-news.com.
Previous albums have featured guest contributions from Paul Jones (of BBC Radio 2 and the Blues Band), Maxi Priest and Robin Trower who produced their most-streamed Spotify track Living Like a Yo-Yo. Jordan Fish (of Bring Me The Horizon) produced David?s 2011 album Take Me There.
David Sinclair has taken his band all over the UK, and been invited to support the late Wilko Johnson, Willie Nile, Samantha Fish, Walter Trout, John Otway, Sari Schorr & Graham Bonnet and has appeared at festivals including Cornbury, Latitude, North Wales Blues & Soul, Phoenix, Richmond Riverside and many more.
Like the classic acts that inspired them - the Rolling Stones, Dr Feelgood, ZZ Top ? the DS4 are a great band for entertaining people whether seated or on their feet, indoors or outdoors, come rain or shine.
