Following in the footsteps of the first presentation in 2019, we are delighted to announce the 2nd instalment of ?Voyage to the Cosmos?.
Even in the short interval of 4 years, there has been extraordinary advances in our exploration and understanding for the Universe we inhabit. So to the many sophisticated instruments that have recently been deployed have not only resulted in stunning visual legacies but also a richly enhanced glimpses of the enigmatic workings of the Cosmos
This presentation aims to reveal the latest discoveries in planetary exploration in our solar system and around neighbouring stars, and also the very latest insights of the nature of the universe from both space and earth based telescopes. We look forward to sharing with you a contemporary insight that will engage and thrill both young and old alike.
Bring the whole family for this unique and informative talk by science educator and amateur astronomer Sam Gibbs.
This presentation will be supported by spectacular interactive software, HD videos and robotic telescope observations. To conclude there will be an open air stargazing session (weather permitting)
Please bring adequate warm clothing for the star gazing session.
Refreshments will be served during a short intermission at 9.00pm.
