We're delighted to be inviting Adam Beattie to BarLume! We couldn't ask for a better accompaniment as he will be bring a string quartet with him. We also have beautiful support from Iona Macdonald of the Doghouse Roses fame.

We'll be converting the space into an intimate, seated event and as always we'll have 4 live artists coming to create brand new pieces in room 1.

Adam Beattie is a Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist who has just released his fifth solo album to critical acclaim. Beattie is a ?master of powerful narratives? (????? RnR Magazine), writing original contemporary Scottish folk songs while also drawing rich
influences from other roots genres. Adam uses beautiful, intricate, finger-picked guitar and a distinctive voice steeped in smoke and honey to create ?stirring folk balladry? (Line Of Best Fit).

We also have amazing support from Aberdeen's own Iona Macdonald. Iona Macdonald is one half of the acclaimed scottish duo, Doghouse Roses, with guitarist Paul Tasker. She was a member of the US collective Willard Grant Conspiracy for over 5 years and has performed and recorded with numerous artists, including Nick Garrie, Norman Blake, Howe Gelb and Toxik Ephex.
