We Can Be Heroes Disco returns to Walthamstow Trades Hall on Sunday, 29th October for our annual family-friendly Halloween event for grown-up geeks and kid sidekicks!
Join us from 1pm - 4pm for fun and frivolous rock, pop, indie, hip-hop and soundtracks, to get you and your whole family dancing. Expect a whole afternoon of awesome Halloween hits, with a spook-tacular live set from Dom Green's Fright School.
DJs, live music, face painting, drawing and colouring, free comics, a free inflatable guitar for every child, and the cheapest bar in E17! Plus, we'll be holding our annual costume competition, with prizes for the best-dressed grown-ups!
We Can Be Heroes is an all-ages, daytime disco and live gig for the whole family to enjoy. It?s for fans of comic books, superheroes, video games, science fiction, fantasy and every aspect of geek culture, past and present. The music is a mix of blockbuster soundtracks and 80s pop, upbeat indie, bouncy hip-hop, and big, silly rock. It's a place where parents and kids can dress up, dance, and generally get their geek on. It?s a whole afternoon of awesome!
Whilst there isn?t a strict costume policy, everyone - grown-ups and kids ? is encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite characters from comics, films, sci-fi or fantasy.
We run an event that strives to be both safe and inclusive. No adults admitted unless accompanied by a child. Also, please note that there will be live music at this event. Whilst we will make every effort to monitor the sound levels, you may want to consider ear protection for children.
