ALIX ANTHONY ? JAZZ-FUNK ARTIST ? LOCAL MUSICIAN at THE CRAWDADDY RICHMOND
Friday November 3rd 2023 - Doors open 7.30pm
Early years in New York and Connecticut and more recently Alix enjoying the various gigs and open mike nights he does in West London ? Brentford (Northumberland Arms) (Magpie & Crown) plus The Swan, Hampton Wick and The Wharf, Teddington and The Barmy Arms, Twickenham.
The music is an interesting mix of Jimi Hendrix, James Brown and Prince. There are blues, rock and jazz vibes and all accompanied by intricate guitar work, mellow vocals and a lot of head shaking and tongue flicking. While the girls danced seductively in front of him, the guys swayed and played air guitar at the back. There is always a great connection with the audience.
Alix is a charismatic performer and a sure-fire crowd-pleaser, and his charm feels real with his frequent modest comments that ?I?m just jamming?
