Simon Stanley Ward is a 30-something year old singer and songwriter. An old-school country singer at heart, his performance brings in elements of rockabilly, soul and folk, to provide a potent blend that rattles along with a sound and vigour that recalls Dylan and The Band going full tilt in 1965. With great stage presence and charisma - there is a whiff of the early Elvis about his persona - he has been pursuing his musical vision ruthlessly since his early years.

Over the last decade, Simon has been playing his original music with his band The Shadows of Doubt in pubs, music venues, theatres and festivals in London, across the UK, and in Europe. A country singer at heart but with a streak of the surreal running through him, his live show is engaging, energetic and constantly evolving. His performance can be gut-wrenchingly moving at one moment and a few seconds later self-deprecating and hilarious. His influences come from far and wide, and include Elvis, Bob Dylan and John Prine.
