Andy first arrived as a punk poet with an acoustic guitar and debut album Rave on Andy White. Since
then, he has toured the world many times, recording with Sinéad O'Connor and Billy Bragg, writing
with Peter Gabriel, Allison Russell, and Neil and Tim Finn.
Tim introduced Andy to Australia when the two chums were in ALT with Liam ? Maonlaí, and Andy
moved to Melbourne shortly afterwards. The ALT album Altitude was reissued in 2021 and a new
collaborative writing project with Tim resulted in the album AT, released this year by Floating World.
The latest series of Andy?s podcast This podcast is only temporary takes a deep dive into the
writing and recording of the album.
Political, literary, wearing his influences proudly on his sleeve, Andy has been compared to Bob
