Hailu Ni (soprano)

Hailu Ni, a soprano from China, is currently a PhD student in Musicology at the
University of Manchester. She completed an MA in Music Performance Studies at the
University of Sheffield. She has actively participated in various competitions and
achieved excellent results. Hailu, a dedicated and passionate soprano with an
enchanting voice, her soulful and ethereal vocals provide a wonderful listening
experience, which is pleasant, airy, and enjoyable. She invites listeners and
performers alike to experience the beautiful melodies and poetic texts of songs.

Chia Hsin Lin (violin)

Chia Hsin Lin is a professional violinist. She was born in Taiwan. As well as being
highly educated Chia Hsin has performed regularly in several high-profile orchestras
on first violin. Chia Hsin has studied violin worldwide and was an Erasmus in the
Czech Republic at the University of Hradec Kralove. Whilst studying she performed
in many solo recitals in the Czech Republic. Since moving to the UK to study for a
master?s degree, Chia Hsin has performed in many orchestras, ensembles and solo
recitals throughout England.

Yantong Chen (piano)

Yantong Chen, a 21-year-old young pianist from China, is studying MA in Music
Performance Studies at the University of Sheffield. Yantong started playing the piano
at the age of 3. He graduated with a bachelor?s degree in July 2022 from the Academy
for Performing Arts at Wuhan Conservatory of Music (China). He got the First prize
in the 7th Changjiang Cup Piano Competition in 2020, the First prize in the 2nd SAE
Beethoven Piano Competition, and the Second prize in the 3rd Liszt Piano
Competition. Yantong has also been in charge of the Chinese music concert ?Heritage?
on 15 March. He is committed to the development and influence of Chinese culture in
the UK.

The repertoire is a selection of classic art songs and popular songs that are widely
sung. We look forward to seeing you all and enjoying an evening of music together.
