Séamus ?g is an Irish singer songwriter hailing from Carrickfergus, N.Ireland. Drawing inspiration from an upbringing of traditional Irish music and storytelling. Now alongside Anna Mcluckie (clársach), Awen Blandford (cello), Andy Patterson (double bass). The four corners of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England merge. This Manchester based quartet is a beautiful blend of instruments intertwined in rich harmonies, and stories full of heart, that will have you swept into a dream state and lingering on adventures taken, and mapping those to come.
Their second album ?Terry?s Síbín? is being released in March 24, and has already had plays on BBC 6 (Tom Robinson), Celtic Fm and Radio Fáilte. The new quartet have performed at festivals such as Celtic Connections, Manchester Folk Festival, Folk Expo, Rochdale Folk Festival, Eskfest and Refract festival to name a few. With strong Irish music links in Manchester, Seamus Og aims to improve and build up the Manchester traditional Irish music scene for a younger demographic.
