For the second event of the Warrington Blues Club we have 2 great bands to whet your Blues appetite. The two bands we have will complement each other as they range their individual styles through from traditional through to contemporary and modern blues.
The Monarchs Blues Band are a 5-piece band playing authentic Blues and R&B, with a touch of Jive and 50s rock ?n? roll ? all played with a huge amount of swing, so bring your dancing shoes! Expect to hear a mixture of well-known classics and hidden gems from the 1940s to 1960s, covering T-Bone Walker, Nat King Cole, Big Joe Turner, Magic Sam and many more. The band is made up of a tight rhythm section of drums and double bass, wailing sax, two beautifully blended guitars, and topped off with male vocals. Between them, the musicians have over 150 years combined experience from playing in a number of bands - covering everything from jazz, to big bands, to blues, rockabilly and rock ?n? roll. The band members are all based around Cheshire and North Wales, and live for playing live!
The Nick Milner Band are a four piece group who have been together for 2 years and have all cut their teeth in other bands before coming together in this impressive band. They play a good variety of blues such as Gary Moore, Peter Green, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Muddy waters, Jeff Healey, and the list goes on etc.
With a growing reputation and wowing audiences each time they play they have an increasing following and we can look forward to an evening which won?t disappoint.
