All aboard for our annual spectacular New Year's Eve party at Jamboree, featuring psychedelic Afro-Latin multi-sensory explosions from King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band, mythical island beauty APHRODITE's brilliant cabaret / drag show, DJ CousCous and more TBA!
King Lagoon's Flying Swordfish Dance Band's progressive musical ideas and a striking visual style sit comfortably alongside their more traditional and vintage elements of African and South American-inspired rhythms, making for a performance that's powerful, highly energetic and fun.
Through the burning of oils and incense, the pulverising of fruit and the boiling of herbs, the band's Smell Technician creates a developing mix of energising and mysterious aromas which combine with the colourful and detailed music-synched projections, creating a hypnotic and immersive spectacle.
The band have dazzled audiences at festivals such as Bestival, Paris' La Briche Foraine, London Remixed Festival and Secret Garden Party and have also performed with acts such as Kalakuta Millionaires, Los Chinches, Norma Winstone, The Gambian National Drum and Dance Group and Turkish percussion master Okay Temiz.

APHRODITE is a queer Cypriot performer who uses the mediums of drag and song to dissect and enhance her own culture and community. With all the airs and graces of some ancient deity and a talent for bellydance, traditional Cypriot singing and contemporary musical performance, there's never a dull moment.
DJ CousCous has been playing on the UK festivals and the club and venue circuit for the past 20 years, performing at Glastonbury, Womad, Secret Garden Party, Bestival and beyond. Holding down residencies around London such as the much loved and missed Passing Clouds, Hootenanny, The Magic Garden, The Lockside Lounge and London's Morning Gloryville Events, he is also co-founder of the The Rollright Fayre Festival based in Oxfordshire. His style of music pulls from Afrobeat, Cadence, Cumbia, Tropical, Soukous, Balkan, Reggae and Ska. 'Proper' dancefloor flavas!!
Jamboree is a grass-roots world music venue and bar hosting Folk, Blues, Americana, Celtic, Mediterranean, Eastern, European, GypsyPunk and Old Time Jazz!
Jamboree is back with a POP-UP adventure in a different venue in Limehouse from December 1st!
