The Homesick - Hailing from Dokkum in the northern part of the Netherlands, the Homesick meld angular, springy noise pop and post-punk with durable melodies and a playful sense of eccentricity. After winning critical acclaim in Europe for their 2017 debut, the trio signed with American indie Sub Pop and released their 2020 follow-up, The Big Exercise, and are finally back with their 3rd, eponymous, album.
Comprised of guitarist Elias Elgersma, bassist Jaap van der Velde, and drummer Erik Woudwijk, the band earned a reputation for their eclectic, gritty pop songs, which take influence from the likes of XTC, Scott Walker, and Factory Records' heyday. Each album has changed, a reinvigoration, with the current guide hitting an Andy Partridge curates Animal Collective sugar rush sweet spot.

Pregnant - founded in 2008 by Northern Californian father and renaissance man, Daniel Trudeau, Pregnant?s interest in multiple genres of music teamed with his overflowing imagination led him to initially create music on his own. The project has burgeoned into multiple styles of live performance from soloist soundscapes designed with loop pedals and DAW?s to multi-faceted and difficult to explain 5 piece contemporary band stylings. Trudeau has collaborated with many if not all of his contemporaries to create albums that were exhibited live thorough self booked tours overseas in Asia and Europe as well as in and around several parts of the United States. While there has never been any intentional aim towards a specific genre in Pregnant?s musical stylings it has settled at the bottom of the mining dish, mainly as psychedelic electronic pop music, and for lack of a better term.
