Description

Matteo De Vito is 24 year old drummer and producer from Salerno (South Italy) who currently lives and teaches in Brussels.

In 2022, he got his Master Degree in jazz drums at Salerno State Conservatory after studying many years with the great professor/mentor Salvatore Tranchini. In those years he also took lessons also with John Riley, Ron Savage at Berklee Summer School and attended private workshops of Mark Guiliana and Dave Weckl in Naples. After his graduation, he moved to Brussels to team up with Stèphane Galland at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, assisting some of his students at the drums class.

Matteo has been performing and recording for many years now, both in Italy and abroad, with artists like Vanessa Haynes, Baba Sissoko, Dario Deidda, Romain Labaye, L.Teez and many more. He also runs his own Italian jazz-funk outfit ?C?ammafunk? with which he tours and produces since 2019. His band has already garnered a faithful following in Italy and in Europe thanks to a stream of irresistible live shows, claiming a little at a time, a rightful spot in the international funk scene after a special mention from Tim Minchin the last summer.

Although his young age, he already got many awards and press reviews for his performances and music productions alongside different mentions in the Italian music scene from some of the best musicians on the scene.

He will be performing with London musicians Sam Davies (piano) and Lorenzo Morabito (bass).
