Come along to Day 2 of Beatles Fest 2024 and help us celebrate the 61st Anniversary of The Beatles Birmingham debut at the now sadly burnt down Ritz Ballroom in King's Heath, Birmingham. Originally booked to appear at the Ritz on 11 January 1963, The Beatles were prevented from reaching the venue by blizzard like conditions so the gig had to be re-arranged for 15 February. But the owners Ma & Pa Regan were not unhappy. They persuaded Brian Epstein not to up their fee even though "Please Please Me" was now No.1 in the charts!
Top local musicians will play their favourite Beatles songs in a variety of styles at a 3 hour session.
Expect to hear among others the acoustic duo Acoustica, the jazz soul of Blue Silk, Peters plays Lennon and vocalist Matilda Pratt who has sung before thousands at Twickenham
