CNP get back to business in 2024 with Mancunian power trio Mumbles, who specialise in joyous, desperate, beautiful and chaotic music, touching on everything from emo, noise rock, folk, ambient to free jazz. A bit like if Deerhoof were unhinged emos fronted by James Acaster, if Bill Orcutt inexplicably teamed up with Porridge Radio, or some insufferable collaboration between Sea Power and Xiu Xiu, all open-tuned guitars, major keys and bursts of noise. But also like none of those things, Mumbles are ultimately entirely their own.
Their debut album 'In the Pocket of Big Sad' comes out on 2nd Feb on Divine Schism and they are delighted to be touring the DIY caves of England and Wales to help spread the big sad gospel.
